Basic pronouns

The basic pronouns are:

1st person mi I, me, we, us
2nd person sina you
3rd person ona she, her, he, him, it, they, them

One

To translate the pronoun "one" that is common in many languages*, you can either use sina (you), mi (I) or jan (people), depending on context or preference.

* such as French on, German man, Esperanto oni

Sentence structure

subject + li + predicate

Pronouns in Toki Pona basically function as nouns.

When to use li

When the subject is mi or sina alone, the particle li is not used.

sina moku. You eat.
mi moku. I eat.
sina en mi li moku. You and I eat.
