Basic colours
There are five basic colour terms in Toki Pona.
Intermediate hues
You can describe in-between hues by combining two colour words. The dominant colour comes first, and the influencing colour comes after, like a modifier. For example, you could describe the colour "chartreuse" as a yellowish shade of blue-green or laso jelo. Or, of course, keep it simple and just say laso.
